Swimming
Caimeo Beach is deep water ocean frontage, the water is usually clear with occasional waves, swimming is beautiful all year round at both high and low tide.
Scuba Diving
Quality diving equipment can be hired from one of the Dive shops in Dili. There are several known sites in the area and of course you can dive off the deep water beach at Caimeo. This area has not been explored yet by divers and we are looking for divers to find new sites.
Fishing
Fish from the shore or hire a boat. There are plenty of large edible fish in the immediate waters, including Mahimahi, Mackerel and Sail Fish.
Water sports
Liquica’s deep protected bay is ideal for canoeing, windsurfing, sailing and pleasure boating.
Beach and Mountain walks
Walk along the beach or wander through historic Liquica. For those with more energy there are mountain paths leading to spectacular views of Liquica and the bay.
Cycling
From Dili:
Caimeo is about a two hour bike ride for an amateur bike rider. It is a scenic ride along the coastline, a few hills but mostly flat and easy going.
Around Liquiça:
Hire a bike from Caimeo and tour around Liquiça. Visit historical architecture from the Portuguese Period, religious monuments, and places of recent historical significance.

Local English speaking guides are available to provide tours around Liquiça.

Volleyball
Get exercise while you tan with a game of volleyball with your mates.
Sunbaking and relaxing on the beach
The weather is warm all year around and even in the wet season it is mostly clear in the morning with refreshing afternoon storms. Relax in the sun or in the shade of the tall palms along the beach.
